The CalgarymWranglers continued their four-game road series with a game against the Manitoba Moose on Friday night. These two just saw each other on Valentine’s Day and had a change of scenery in Winnipeg, MB. The Wranglers played a solid 60 minutes and came up with a 5-2 win over their Canadian compadres to the East. 

<h2>Lineup notes</h2>
There were a few changes for the Wranglers going into this game. The most notable change was the return of alternate captain Clark Bishop. Bishop missed the last six games with an upper-body injury and was last in the lineup on Feb. 3. 
The Wranglers were also out one of their regular defencemen in Brady Lyle with a suspected injury. In his place, PTO addition Patrick Kudla skated in his first game with the team. He wore number 25 and skated on a pairing with Colton Poolman.

Dustin Wolf made his third straight start in this game since coming back from the Flames and on the other end, Thomas Milic got the nod between the pipes. The first half of the opening frame was a pretty even effort from both sides then the second half was all Wranglers. They were awarded for their efforts with a goal from Colton Poolman at 19:11 to open up the scoring.

The goal was originally credited to William Stromgren but changed in the second period after a closer look. The scramble around the bouncing puck in front made it hard to identify initially. Rory Kerins picked up the lone assist on this marker. 
At the end of 20 minutes, Calgary had a 1-0 lead over Manitoba and a 14-8 edge in shots. In the second, the Moose had a bit of a push to try and get back into this game but Dustin Wolf turned away all their hopes at getting on the board. 
The Wranglers would score next with a goal from Will Riedell. Riedell scored his first of the year with a wrist shot right over the blocker of Milic at 8:04. Clark Bishop and Rory Kerins picked up the assists on this goal.

Alex Gallant followed up this goal with his first of the year as well at 12:48. Jonathan Aspirot set him up with a backhand pass behind the net and Gallant finished it off with a tip-in.

The scoring slowed for a bit but the Wranglers would still get one more marker before the end of the second period. They were penalty killing and Dustin Wolf made a heads-up play from Calgary’s zone to set up Matt Coronato for a shorthanded breakaway. Coronato is ever so dangerous in this situation and finished the play with a lamplighter.

At the end of two complete periods, the Wranglers had a 4-0 lead over the Moose and a 17-15 advantage in shots through the middle frame. Calgary’s momentum continued in the third with a quick goal from Cole Schwindt just 1:29 into the period. Coronato set him up for the one-timer and he delivered.

Manitoba showed signs of life later in the period with their first goal of the night. They were on the power play and came up on a rush that moved Wolf laterally faster than he could stop the puck. This goal came from Jeff Malott at 9:21. 
Three and a half minutes later, Malott struck again when he entered the zone and deked out Jonathan Aspirot. He finished the play with a bar down glove side goal. 
That was it for the scoring in this game and with three goals to make up for, the Moose didn’t try anything with pulling the goaltender to try and tack on another goal or two in the dying minutes. 
Only three penalties were taken all game and all by the Wranglers. However, that didn’t hurt them much. The final score was 5-2 for Calgary and they also finished with a 40-33 edge in shots. Matt Coronato picked up the first star of the night and Dustin Wolf picked up the second.
