The Stockton Heat have been eliminated from the 2022 Calder Cup Playoffs after losing 3–0 to the Chicago Wolves in Game 6 of the Western Conference Final on Tuesday evening. 

The Heat fell behind 3–0 in the series before winning back-to-back overtime games in Stockton to push the series back to Rosemont, IL.
Dustin Wolf made 35 saves in Game 6, but Ivan Lodnia, Andrew Poturalski, and Josh Leivo scored in the third period to help Chicago capture the win.

The Calgary Flames&#8217; American Hockey League affiliate franchise has not won the Calder Cup since 2001, when the Saint John Flames defeated the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in six games to win the championship.
The franchise subsequently became known as the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights, Quad City Flames, Abbotsford Heat, and Adirondack Flames before settling in Stockton, CA beginning with the 2015–16 season.
Last month, the Flames announced the AHL franchise would be relocating up to Calgary for 2022–23, marking the end of its seven-year tenure in Stockton.
The Stockton Heat saved their best season for last. Having never won a playoff series before this year, the Heat swept the Bakersfield Condors in three games before brushing aside the Colorado Eagles 3–1 to advance to the Western Conference Final.
Chicago (50–16–10) was the only team to finish with a better record than Stockton (45–16–7) during the 2021–22 regular season. The two titans matched up well in the playoffs, with the Wolves ultimately taking the series after six close games.
