Flames recall Alan Quine

With Mikael Backlund and Michael Frolik injured and Ryan Lomberg suspended, the Flames have found themselves shorthanded for the busy weekend ahead. This morning, they’ve recalled centre Alan Quine from the Stockton Heat.

Quine as the recall comes as no surprise. He’s currently leading the Heat in per-game scoring with 19 points in 15 games, an anchor on the top line. Quine was scratched for Friday night’s Heat game, which was a pretty good indication that he would be the forward coming up. He will likely play the 4C role, as everyone else gets bumped up to fill in for Backlund’s absence.

Quine became a Flame on July 1 of this past year, signing a one-year, two-way deal with the club.

I will be interested to see how these next two games pan out against the Preds and Oilers. It feels like one hand has been tied behind our back without Gio and Backs. These games will be a test for the Flames organization indeed. 2-0 would be beyond fantastic; 1-1 would be okay; 0-2 would suck. GFG.

WW, By definition, you are a troll.
Troll: In Internet slang, a troll (/troʊl, trɒl/) is a person who starts quarrels or upsets people on the Internet to distract and sow discord by posting inflammatory and digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers
WW, you knowingly provoke many FN readers with your repeating, over and over and over and over again of the same thing. That my friend is trolling, and it’s sort of fitting Perra is giving it back to you.

      • The GREAT JP

This is why I could no longer work with him. He did save my life, but a troll is a troll. Interested to see what Quine can bring in the big league. His numbers look decent.

Could you at least shift you focused negativity to someone else for a change of pace. Maybe Neal – he makes more than Backs and contributes considerable less.

Derek Ryan Is not a 2C and will be a Huge Mistake IMO…
As to the D, putting TJ back on his off wing is going to be Disastrous.
I wonder how either Hamonic or Andersson would do on their off wing?
      Travis Hamonic – TJ Brodie
      Noah Hanifin – Rasmus Andersson
      or
      Rasmus Andersson – TJ Brodie
      Noah Hanifin – Travis Hamonic
      or
      Noah Hanifin – TJ Brodie
      Travis Hamonic – Rasmus Andersson
Brodie might be able to pull it off for a couple games? but Yikes he was super bad on his off wing, why take our best D and put him in a place to struggle? And then there is Prout…
If the Flames end up down a goal(or a couple) It should make for a very interesting Blender of All lines both D and Forwards…

Relax. Peters will deck shuffle as the game progresses. I just remember when Gio was hurt the year late in the year. The team sucked it up and won something like 8 out of 10. They have more center depth than ever before and since Nashvilles missing Forsberg, Turris and Atkinson they should be fine without Backlund tonight. Worry about Sunday on Sunday.
