It’s always a good time to remember that Dustin Wolf was four picks away from going home and trying again next year at the NHL Draft.

In case you missed it:

Feuk played in one game this week, and “played” in two as an extra forward, which is a nice way of saying “healthy scratch” in Sweden. I guess it’s nice that the senior team feels that they should keep him around, but I can’t get behind the idea of a prospect playing one game every two weeks.

Gawdin may have only picked up a secondary power play assist this week, but he was very good in the ways that don’t show up on a scoresheet. For example, he was named the first star in Stockton’s shootout victory over San Jose.

Koumontzis was tossed out of the first game of ASU’s series against Quinnipiac for a checking from behind penalty in the first period, so he could only put up an assist this week. He did pick up two shots in maybe four minutes of ice time during that game, so he was at least being productive in his brief appearance.

Lindstrom remains a mainstay in Skelleftea’s middle six, which is good considering he’d rarely see that opportunity at any point in the last three seasons. The points should hopefully come soonish, but the coaching staff trusting him there with a third of the SHL season gone is good news.

A rare thing happened this weekend: Zavgorodniy was held pointless in a game. Haters might point out that a lot of that has to do with Alexis Lafreniere getting ejected in the first period, but I like to think that even superheroes need a day off. He’s clearly been saving all his energy for the QMJHL-Russia game, where he has a goal and assist thus far for Russia.

Zagidulin has been relied upon by Stockton as the 1B to Gillies’ 1A, but he’s far behind Gillies. Benefit of the doubt for playing with the tired team, but 0.871 showing isn’t going to keep him around in Stockton for long.
