Bad news, friends: Calgary Flames forward Michael Frolik left the World Hockey Championship empty-handed. The Czech Republic lost to Russia in the bronze medal game on Sunday.
The Czechs trailed 1-0 to Russia early but scored twice to take a slim 2-1. But Russia tied the game early in the second period and ultimately won in a shootout to take the bronze medal by a 3-2 score.
Frolik ended the tournament on a bit of a cold streak, but finished sixth in points. He had seven goals and 14 points in 10 games overall.
