This week in 1994, the Calgary Flames were led to a 7-5 victory over the Vancouver Canucks in game two of the Western Conference quarter-finals in thanks to a five-point night from Al MacInnis.

MacInnis kicked things off with an assist on the Flames opening goal of the game 7:30 into the first frame, before scoring two goals at the 15:46 and 19:10 marks of that period.

He later notched assists on second and third-period goals scored by Joe Nieuwendyk and German Titov, respectively. The win tied the series with the Canucks at one game apiece and Calgary was able to build a 3-1 series lead against the Canucks after four games.

Calgary however, would falter in the following three games losing all in overtime as the Canucks embarked on a reverse sweep of the Flames.

MacInnis finished the series having scored eight points in seven games, not far behind Theo Fleury who put up 10 points in as many games.
