Franchise history can be made on Thursday night in Vancouver! The Calgary Flames (30-13-6, 66 points) head westward, riding a 10 game winning streak, to visit the Vancouver Canucks (24-22-6, 54 points)! If the Flames win, they’ll set a new franchise record for consecutive victories. Can the Flames keep rolling along, or will Bruce Boudreau’s crew play spoiler?
The puck drops just after 8 p.m. MT. Catch all the action on Sportsnet West or Sportsnet 960 The Fan!

@Johnny Gaudreau – @Elias Lindholm – @Matthew Tkachuk
@Blake Coleman – @Mikael Backlund – @Andrew Mangiapane
@Milan Lucic – @Sean Monahan – @Tyler Toffoli
@Dillon Dube – @Adam Ruzicka – @Trevor Lewis
@Noah Hanifin – @Rasmus Andersson
@Oliver Kylington – @Chris Tanev
@Nikita Zadorov – @Erik Gudbranson

You may have heard about this, but the Flames are doing pretty well lately. They’ve won 10 in a row, they’re leading the Pacific Division, and while they haven’t been playing perfect hockey they’ve been good enough to win more often than not dating back to their return from their COVID outbreak break.

The Canucks

Projected lines via Daily Faceoff:
@Tanner Pearson – @J.T. Miller – @Conor Garland
@Jason Dickinson – @Bo Horvat – @Brock Boeser
@Vasili Podkolzin – @Elias Pettersson – @Nils Hoglander
@Tyler Motte – @Juho Lammikko – @Matthew Highmore
@Oliver Ekman-Larsson – @Tyler Myers
@Quinn Hughes – @Luke Schenn
@Brad Hunt – @Travis Hamonic
@Thatcher Demko starts for Vancouver, backed up by @Jaroslav Halak. Their projected extras are @Madison Bowey and @Alex Chiasson.
First, the Canucks will be wearing their old-school black and gold “skate” jerseys tonight, so at the very least they will look very stylish.
Second, since the Canucks’ last game with Calgary they’ve gone 5-3-0. They haven’t been lights-out, but they’re a talented, structured team that’s playing much better over the past few weeks than they had previously. They were good enough to beat the powerhouse Maple Leafs, among others, so they’re a hockey club worth taking very seriously.
