Via our pal Pat Steinberg, we have an update from Tuesday’s Calgary Flames practice!
After missing the third period of Game 6 and all of Game 7 against Dallas was an injury, blueliner Chris Tanev was found in his usual spot in the second pairing alongside Oliver Kylington.

Thanks, Pat.
A disclaimer: we’re talking ’bout practice, and practices aren’t games, so it’s completely possible that Tanev skated on Tuesday but won’t play in Wednesday’s Game 1 against Edmonton. Coaches are known to use gamesmanship during the post-season – Darryl Sutter definitely has – and sometimes injuries get worse randomly. (Or better!)
We’ll see whether Tanev plays in Game 1, but his attendance in practice is definitely a positive development.
