Good news, everybody! The Young Stars Classic prospects tournament in Penticton, B.C. is back this year! The Calgary Flames are participating in the tournament from Sept. 16-19, and single-game tickets go on sale on Friday morning beginning at 11 a.m. MT (10 a.m. PT). Tickets can be found at ValleyFirstTix.com.
The Flames will be joined by the host Vancouver Canucks, as well as the Winnipeg Jets and Edmonton Oilers for a round robin tournament featuring each team’s top prospects.
The Flames will play three games:
- Fri., Sept. 16 at 5 p.m. MT vs. Winnipeg
- Sat., Sept. 17 at 8:30 p.m. MT. vs. Edmonton
- Mon., Sept. 19 at 3:30 p.m. MT vs. Vancouver
You should reasonably expect to see the Flames’ Canadian junior prospects as well as players in the first or second season within the entry-level system. European and collegiate players won’t be participating in the event, as the Europeans will be into their playing seasons while the college players will be away at school already.
