The Boston Bruins get the short end of the stick with such a quick turnaround. They just wrapped up Game 7 in overtime against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. Two days later, they have to travel to Florida and face the Florida Panthers, who’ve had a whole week off. But will that play to their benefit?
Today’s confirmed goaltender matchup for our highlighted game:
The Boston Bruins’ Jeremy Swayman (4-2 record, 1.50 GAA, .950 S%) vs. The Florida Panthers’ Sergei Bobrovsky (4-1 record, 2.78 GAA, .896 S%).

Jeremy Swayman over 28.5 saves (-134)

A $10.00 bet would return $17.50.
Jeremy Swayman has cleared this line in three of five playoff games, averaging 28.7 saves per game. Boston has struggled to suppress shots on goal this playoffs, as they allow the most shots of the remaining teams, averaging 30.6 shots against per game. Florida averages the third most shots on goal this playoffs, averaging 32 per game.

Sam Reinhart over 3.5 shots on goal (+115)

A $10.00 bet would return $21.50.
Sam Reinhart has cleared in eight of his last nine games, averaging 4.4 shots on 7.2 attempts. In his five games against the Tampa Bay Lightning, he cleared this line in four games, averaging 4.6 shots on 7.2 shot attempts. He has cleared in nine straight home games, averaging 4.7 shots on 7.2 shot attempts.
Against the Bruins this season, he has cleared in just one of four games but had a 2.5 line for most of the season. His increased production has led to his line increase. The Bruins allow the second most shots on goal to right-wingers in the playoffs, averaging 7.9 per game.

Boston Bruins First Period Moneyline – Draw No Bet (+115)

A $5.00 bet would return $10.75.
This is just a small sprinkle here, as it’s just a gut feeling. I’m not sold that the Bruins can come out and win the game outright, but I do think they’ll have their legs under them early and can potentially steal the first period from the Panthers. Florida has had an entire week off; they may come out a little sluggish to start, allowing the Bruins to attack.
Draw no bet means that if there is a tie after the first period, we will get our money back.
Also, a Bonus Series bet:
A $10 bet on the Florida Panthers to win the series by -1.5 at (+115) odds.

Last Game Recap

Dallas Stars Moneyline – WON – (+$10.00)
Noah Hanifin Over 1.5 Shots on Goal – WON – (+$9.14)
Joe Pavelski Point – LOSS – (-$10.00)
We got a little too cute with the Pavelski point. However, he was the one to pressure the Vegas Golden Knights defender, which led to the turnover on Wyatt Johnston’s goal. The Dallas Stars held on to advance to the second round, while Hanifin cashed his two shots early in the first period.
All-Time Record: 92-88 (-$14.35)
