After a hectic Saturday night, with 13 games throughout the league, Sunday’s schedule is a bit more muted and manageable. We get five clashes: including four games where a team that played on Saturday plays a rested opponent and one (Nashville/Buffalo) that’s a back-to-back for both teams. (Odd quirk: neither New Jersey or Edmonton had games Saturday or Sunday, but the other 30 NHL clubs all played at least once.)

Primary Bet – Connor Bedard anytime goal (+140)

A $1 bet pays out $2.40 – There are few certainties in life, and this one may be a little less certain than usual considering Chicago is playing the second half of a back-to-back (with travel). But Connor Bedard has 11 goals in 22 games, so he’s good for a goal every second game – more or less – and this feels like a reasonable roll of the dice. If you’re a bit pessimistic and want to bet on him getting “just” a point, that’s a -163 proposition.

Secondary Bet – Artemi Panarin (+120) or Chris Kreider (+135) anytime goals

A $1 bet pays out $2.20 (Panarin) or $2.35 (Kreider) – On one hand, the Rangers are playing a rested San Jose Sharks team. On the other hand, the Sharks are not especially good this season and boast a league-worst -54 goal differential. So it seems probable that the Rangers will score on them, so your best bets are the Rangers’ two most prolific scorers. (If you want a bit more of a “safe” long-shot, Adam Fox is +375 to score a goal.)

Tertiary Bet – Trevor Moore anytime goalscorer (+200)

A $1 bet pays out $3 – It’s a rested Los Angeles Kings squad facing Colorado in the marquee match of the day. Given the game situation, we’re anticipating a bit of a looser game (rather than a tight-checking game) and the Kings’ offensive guns should get a good chance at getting on the board. Of L.A.’s most frequent scorers, Moore has the most tantalizing odds. For the most risk-averse, Adrian Kempe is +140 and reliable Anze Kopitar is +187.
