It’s a quiet night for the National Hockey League, with a three game slate on Wednesday squished in-between a busy Tuesday (10 games) and a busy Thursday (14 games). But there’s still some value to be found, with games between Montreal and Columbus, Detroit and the NY Rangers, and Washington and Los Angeles. There’s no obvious blowouts or potentials for big upsets here, but let’s dive into the match-ups a bit.

Primary Bet – Columbus puck line (-1.5) (+170)

A $1 bet pays out $2.70 – In terms of value propositions, this seems intriguing. The Blue Jackets are slightly better possession-wise than Montreal overall, won last game and are perhaps starting to get their collective act together, and they’re playing at home. That could be enough to get them a win by two or more.

Secondary Bet – NY Rangers puck line (-1.5) (+115)

A $1 bet pays out $2.15 – Adam Fox is expected to return from a prolonged injury absence. In a tight match-up with the Detroit Red Wings, Fox’s presence could be enough to turn the tide and get the Rangers a win by two goals or more.

Tertiary Bet – Anze Kopitar anytime goalscorer (+175)

A $1 bet pays out $2.75 – The Kings boast two players in the double-digits in terms of goals: Anze Kopitar and Trevor Moore. Bless his heart, this seems like more of an aberration for Moore than for Kopitar. Moore’s a career 9% shooter on a 21% heater, Kopitar’s a career 13% shooter on a 24% heater. Kopitar seems like a safer bet to stay hot.
