The Red Wings are pretty bad at generating offence on a consistent basis and are as average as can be at defending them. Their goaltending has been beyond subpar and their offence can score on the chances they do manage to get. Calgary will be without Rasmus Andersson – which should have a positive effect on their ability to defend goals but will hurt them where they struggle the most in chance generation.

The defence roles on the Flames and their ability to get shots from close to the net cannot be understated – Andersson is a huge boost to that.

A $1 bet would pay out $1.85. It’s the most likely to occur – even without Andersson the Flames will still take a bunch of low danger shots on net. Goalies that tend to give out lots of rebounds struggle against Calgary – their forward lines could pop off after getting pushed to the limit by the Rangers.

Detroit would have to get some chances on net but this is a fairly safe bet. Vladar is on a 12 game point streak and should be good enough to get the win against a non-playoff Detroit squad.

I’m picking this because Jakob Pelletier isn’t available on the lines currently – and I think he’s going to get his first NHL point tonight. Huberdeau’s odds are less so we’re going with Kadri on this. You could go with him just to get a point to be safer – i want to take the risk at the possibility of a higher payout.
