Good news! The Flames are 5-3-3 in December and have won two games in a row. They’ve played pretty good hockey since mid-to-late November, and they’ve gotten the desired results more often than not. The play a possession-based game with lots of shot volume. The upside is that can wear down opponents. The downside is that sometimes, opposing goaltenders get warmed up by all those early shots and find their comfort zone facing so many shots.
The Kings are 6-3-1 in December and are on a run of strong play lately. Since getting into that 9-8 track meet with Seattle in November, they’ve managed to tighten things up. Despite their record, they’ve actually been out-scored in December: they tend to win close games, but when they lose it’s by a few goals.

Primary Bet – Calgary Flames to win Moneyline (-115)

The Flames are a slight moneyline favourite, which in itself is fairly rare considering they’re the road team. If you have a good feeling about their play – and they probably feel good about their game of late – this could be good value compared to their games against San Jose where they were heavier favourites.

Secondary Bet – Tyler Toffoli anytime goalscorer (+200)

We’re fans of Revenge Games here, if only because goals are fun and it’s probably fun to score against a team that you used to play for. Toffoli, arguably Calgary’s most consistent goal-scorer this season, returns to whatever the Kings’ arena is called now, and he seems like good value for a goal given his consistency and the situation.

Tertiary Bet – over 6.5 total goals (+110)

When the Kings lose, they lose by a few. And the Flames just put up a dozen goals on a fairly porous Sharks team. If you’re feeling good about a Flames win, then perhaps take a look at this one, which would lend itself to a 4-3 or 5-2 Flames win.
Remember bet safe and have fun!
