Earlier in the season Calgary was able to take a 4-1 victory over the Penguins in Calgary, I doubt there’ll be that much room for error on Calgary’s part again. The Penguins are still a legitimate scoring threat boasting a +10% offensive impact and a -4% defensive impact via HockeyViz.com. With Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin still rolling and producing the Penguins will always be a threat to win. Calgary has a lesser attack (+5%) but an advantage on defence (-11%).

Primary Bet – Calgary Flames Moneyline (+110)

Just a straight up bet for the Flames to win outright. No goal, shot, or performance props attached to it, already solid odds for a game that they could win. This isn’t going to be as easy as the Flyers, but I think Calgary’s starting to re-find their groove.

Secondary Bet – Backlund to get 1+ points (+105)

His linemate and his line are coming off their best game together, and if Huberdeau is going so are his linemates. Backlund has also been the most consistent Flame this year, taking that title from early season standout Kadri and fighting Nikita Zadorov for that title.

Tertiary Bet – Empty Net Goal – Yes (+200)

I think this match is going to be within one or two goals come the last 2-3 minutes. With how early people pull their goalies nowadays anytime the odds are this positive it’s worth taking a look at.
As usual, bet safe and enjoy the game!
