The Flames are still in the playoff hunt, and their defensive game has been quite decent lately – and they’ve gotten big saves from Jacob Markstrom. On the other side, the Canucks are playing fast and loose. They’re not world-beaters, but they’re by no means pushovers, and Rick Tocchet has them looking confident as heck lately.

Total Goals Under 5.5 (+160). A $1 bet would pay out $2.60. This is more a product of the Flames’ defensive game and what we expect to be a fairly tight-checking game. If you have a bit more faith in the respective goaltenders, Under 4.5 is +400, which is incredible value, but would require a 2-1 or 3-1 game to pay out.

Rasmus Andersson Anytime Goalscorer (+375). Andersson plays a ton, plays in high-leverage situations, and has seemed really amped up and dialed in of late. If the Flames’ power play can get a few reps, this could be a really good value bet.

Andrew Mangiapane Over 2.5 Shots (+160). The Flames are a shooting machine most of the time, and Mangiapane plays on the top line and plays a lot in high-leverage situations. Again, like the secondary bet, treat this as a value pick.
