The Flames are coming off a resounding 6-3 win in Arizona on Wednesday night. The Golden Knights lost to Chicago last time out, but are the top team in the Pacific Division and historically a very good home team. The Flames have literally never gotten a point in Vegas in seven previous visits.

The Golden Knights are 5-0-1 since the start of February, while the Flames are 3-3-2.

A $1 bet would pay out $1.72. The Flames have never won in Vegas. If you want to bet that it’ll happen, it’s +120 (e.g., a $1 bet would pay out $2.20). If you want to err on the side of history, the Flames are in  a perpetual win one, lose one pattern, and this would fit that pattern.

A $1 bet pays out $2.87. Backlund has been on fire (if you’ll forgiven the pun) since the calendar flipped over to 2023. He’s been the team’s most consistent even-strength scorer, and he and Tyler Toffoli (+162 to score a goal) have been the club’s most consistent offensive players overall over the past 20 games.

A $1 pays out $2.20. To be honest, this is just a value proposition – with Hanifin being somebody who’s paying out as a longshot to get a point. Hanifin plays a ton in all situations, and he’s been looking strong offensively lately. If the Flames get a few goals in this game, Hanifin seems likely to get a secondary assist here or there. If you’re looking to get a bit of value, he could be a good gamble.
