Vegas and Calgary play a structurally similar game they have just had their star power come though more often. They also have not received a horrible stretch of subpar goaltending despite having almost every goaltender they have used get hurt. I know the Flames record says they’ll probably lose – and they very well might – but it should be a closer game than you expect. If Vegas sits back and isn’t ready or takes Calgary lightly they’ll be shocked with a strong pushback. Calgary may not be able to win much this season, but they sure do fight like hell.
Primary Bet – Jonathan Quick over 29.5 saves (-118)
A $1 bet pays out $1.85. Life, death, and the Calgary Flames getting lofty shot totals. Unless they score enough to get Quick pulled early then this is my safest money bet I can find.
Secondary Bet – Calgary Flames 35+ shots on goal (-118)
A $1 bet pays out $1.85. Keeping in line with the first bet I’m focusing on the Flames shot totals. They’ve been consistent all year and typically have paid out more than not.
Tertiary Bet – Calgary Flames Puckline +1.5 (-275)
A $1 bet pays out $1.36. Not a heavy set bet but I’m not too trusting in individuals on the Flames right now. I haven’t watched Vegas enough to pick any individual out properly either. So We’ll go with the bet that says the Flames will stay within a goal.
