Calgary is in tough against a Jets team fighting for the Central division title as the halfway mark of the season approaches. They are well coached and have a system that benefits Hellebuyck the same way we all just saw Oettinger benefit from in the first round of last years playoffs. Josh Morrissey is having a career year while Kyle Connor remains as dangerous a threat to score as ever. I’m going to be honest i think the Jets win this one but i don’t think it’ll be easy for them.

Primary Bet – Calgary Flames Puckline +1.5 (+175)

See, this is my way of still picking Calgary even though my guts telling me the other way. Add +1.5 to Calgary’s total after the game and if they would win after that addition than you win as well. Calgary loses by 1 goal (or they win outright) it’s a good thing for you.

Secondary Bet – Over 6.5 total goals and Kyle Connor to get 1+ points (+137)

Kyle Connor is the most dangerous Jet with Ehlers sidelined and both teams have enough skill to get here. The risk is in 6.5 goals – too very defensive teams. I’m suggesting this bet because a) it’s got good odds for a payout and b) the NHL is in a new age of high scoring players. This one comes with risk, bet if you want.

Tertiary Bet – Total shots on goal over 62.5 (-118)

Not a sexy pick by any means but both these teams will try and try to score relentlessly. They both prioritize getting to the slot/crease and quality scoring opportunities, but bombard the other goalie with chances early to try and get a slipper by. If they miss this by one Flames post i may just cry.
