Attack wise for Calgary there should be some holes on the LW side. Nashville has really struggled defending any shots coming from there. Calgary’s attack off the rush likes to go left to right, usually, but once they are established its more about coming off the wall and swarming the crease. If Jusse Saros is on form it will be difficult for anybody to score, but he’s been slouching lately. Only takes one strong start for him to get his confidence back so Calgary needs to put their foot down early.
Calgary is going to give up some shots from the upper slot – that tends to be their preference. With a shooting weapon like Filip Forsberg on their roster scoring from distance is quite possible. The Flames will have Markstrom in the crease – hopefully playing like his Vezina calibre self. He’s had better games than Saros so far.

Primary Bet – CGY Flames to win & Matt Duchene to get 1+ Points (+150)

While I do think the Flames should bump their two game slump I’m very doubtful it will be a shutout game. If any offence is coming out of Nashville consistently it’s coming from Forsberg-Granlund-Duchene and of them Duchene has the highest 5v5 xG% amongst top line Predators forwards. It’s not goal or assist specific so anything will do.
At +150 a $5 bet pays $12.50

Secondary Bet – MacKenzie Weegar to get 1+ points (+110)

The best xG ratio on the Flames D and a surefire lock to play over 20+ minutes – all he would need is a secondary assist to win here. Regardless whether Tanev is in the lineup or not Weegar should still get his looks – and Calgary should be able to get some extended possessions using the D as a cycle aid. If Weegar shifts over to the right side then it’s even more likely when he keeps the puck alive down low.
At +110 a $5 bet pays out $10.50

Tertiary Bet – Calgary Flames Money Line & over 5.5 goals (+140)

6 goals in a match nowadays is slightly above average for scoring. We already established earlier the thoughts that Calgary is to win – if you also think that at least 6 goals are going to be scored you could go this route instead of banking on Duchene to get a point – or both if you feel like it. Just remember: Bet responsibly.
As usual, bet safe and enjoy the game!
