It’s going to be a dog fight: the kids of Broadway street vs. the veterans of the Stampede grounds. While both are pretty well eliminated from the playoffs the loser of this match will for sure be ousted. Winnipeg controls both of these teams fate and the winner will scoreboard watch hoping for a falter. As for this game I think the speed of Nashville’s younger players will pose a problem for the Flames – they are going to use it to get some good looks in behind the Flames defence. The real kicker is when Nashville does get their chances can Markstrom stop them? Last season the answer was undoubtedly yes, this season the numbers say no.
On the other side of the ice Jusse Saros has established himself as a top 5 goaltender in the world – no i did not mistype that. Calgary’s scoring woes may flare up as Saros finds a way to get in front of everything. The Flames are not particularly fast enough to get him moving side to side in his crease either.

Primary bet

Nashville Predators total goals over 2.5 (+100). A $1 bet pays out $2. Double your money betting on the Flames goaltending – which has been bad all year – to remain bad.

Secondary bet

Noah Hanifin to get 1+ assists (+130). A $1 bet pays out $2.30. If you’ve been watching the Flames play you’ve no doubt noticed Hanifins increased urgency in the attacking zone. The occasional turnover is still there but He’s a high likelihood to get points if he keeps attacking the way he has.

Tertiary bet

Under 6.5 total goals (-182). A $1 bet pays out $1.55. No guarantee Markstrom does a bunch to help here but I have too much faith in Saros to see him giving up more than 3 goals to Calgary.
