Vegas’ hot start has since cooled off in a big way with them actually being shut out in 3 of their last 6 games. If you go back to Nov. 5 outside of a blowout against the Sharks (which means nothing) and a 6-5 win over Montreal their offence has been quite stale. Calgary meanwhile has been competing in almost every game for the last 3 weeks (took the Nashville game off) and has home ice advantage. I like the Flames odds here unless Adin Hill channels his Calgary childhood roots for an above average performance.

Primary Bet – Total Goals under 6.5 (-140)

A $1 bet pays out $1.71 – Calgary doesn’t shoot the lights out and Vegas has had trouble scoring lately. Throw in Markstrom and Hill as the goalies and a 3-2 game could be on the docket

Secondary Bet – Vegas Golden Knights 31+ shots on net (-110)

A $1 bet pays out $1.90 – Calgary can sometimes hold on to the puck to try and get more prime opportunities, as such they give up a fair amount of easy shots against in transition when they lose it. Vegas also are friggin’ champions they know how to get pucks on net.

Tertiary Bet – Nazem Kadri 1+ points (-125)

A $1 bet pays out $1.80 – Kadri and the Kids are the hottest show in YYC right now. The savvy veteran picking up a point with Zary and Pospisil is always likely with how strong they’ve played together. Usually top PP time would help but that’s actually a hindrance to Flames players so far this year.
