There was a flurry of trade activity last week, as both the Quebec and Ontario hockey leagues had their trade deadlines. The Saint John Sea Dogs, the Memorial Cup hosts, continued to load up, but there was a bevy of other activity that will serve to set up many Calgary Flames prospects for playoff drives down the stretch.
Here’s a snapshot of how the Flames’ understudies fared over the past week.

This and that:

  • D Johannes Kinnvall and G Tyler Parsons are on the Flames’ season-opening injury reserve after suffering injuries. Yes, still. Kinnvall should return before the end of the season, but Parsons seems like a long-shot to do so.
  • We’re not including Juuso Välimäki’s AHL run in here because he’s played enough NHL games that we no longer consider him a prospect. He has seven points in 10 AHL games.
