We’re into the meat of the 2019-20 hockey season. If players are still hot offensively, it’s probably safe to say they’re in the midst of a good year. Calgary Flames first rounder Jakob Pelletier is having himself quite a good year so far.

In case you missed it:

Lomberg had a superb weekend. He had two goals in one game and two assists in the other. We may all have an idea of what he is at the NHL level, and maybe he’s “just” a really good AHLer, but he’s making a good case for another handful of NHL games.

Mitchell Mattson- LW, Michigan State, NCAA (Big 10)

The Wildcats scored eight goals this weekend. Pelletier had points on eight of them, a pretty good indication of how much of an offensive force he’s been this season. He’s currently fourth in the QMJHL in points.

Emilio Pettersen- C/LW, Denver Pioneers, NCAA (NCHC)

Philp had a goal and an assist in Stockton’s Friday comeback win over Bakersfield. He’s put up all of his points this season over the past five games. Maybe that’s an indication that he’s made an adjustment to the AHL level.

Pospisil remains out day to day with an upper body injury.

Jon Gillies- G, Stockton Heat

Change from last week159.00+0.10
Gillies played one game over the weekend, making 30 saves in a 4-1 win over San Diego. He’s played little enough that a good outing really impacts his save percentage.

Tyler Parsons- G, Kansas City Mavericks

GPTOISV%
Up to date158.000.902

Kansas Cty is juggling three goalies right now, so Parsons started one game and then was placed on the reserve list to allow Kansas City to use their third goalie (Hayden Hawkey) to back up Nick Schneider.

Up to date179930.936

Wolf’s save percentage crashed all the way down to .936. He’s still among the top goaltenders in the WHL and Canadian major junior hockey, if not the top goaltender.
