In the last two games, the Flames have allowed 52 more shots at their net than they’ve generated. They have 3 of 4 points nonetheless. They’ve been handily outchanced as well as the first line has come back down to earth recently after generating a lot for about a week.
The points are coming via Kipper and the bounces. Miikka hasn’t played like this since probably 2005-06 and it’ll be interesting to see how long he can keep it up.
This isn’t hockey that can win in the long-term though. It’s only a matter of time before the bad guys shots start going in.
