Head-to-head ice time at ES.
The chance count isn’t reflective of the 6-2 score for a couple of reasons: firstly, the Flames went up by a lot early, meaning there wasn’t much impetus for them to press for more later in the game. Secondly, Steve Mason was ghastly in net. It was one of those nights where pucks just went in for the Flames. Which is nice, because they’ve had a couple of games where things have gone the other way.
The worst game by the Glencross line at ES for awhile, although they didn’t play much. They also spent a lot of their time against the BJ’s first line. Jokinen et al had a better night on the scoreboard than on the chance count. They weren’t under water or anything, but the fact that they scored on just about every chance they got is probably inflating the quality of their work in the eyes of some. In addition, the played against the "kid line" mostly, which is easily the BJ’s worst outside the 4th unit. Iginla’s line also had a decent night, partially because Arniel didn’t hard match Nash against them.
