A few days ago, GM Brad Treliving hinted that he had unfinished business in the PTO market, looking to add a body or two before camp starts. He made good on part one of that promise, adding forward Joseph Cramarossa on a professional try out deal.
Cramarossa split last season between the Anaheim Ducks (49 games) and the Vancouver Canucks (10 games), scoring 10 points in fourth line minutes and adding 60 penalty minutes. He’s pretty much been a grinder wherever he’s been.
His job at camp will probably be limited to being a body so they can rest veterans for games. His results, both in the NHL and the AHL, don’t suggest he’s a viable option for the NHL roster.

The most likely scenario is that he’s trying to secure an AHL job for himself. Stockton lost a lot of veteran help with the departures of Matt Frattin, Mike Angelidis, Jamie Devane, Brandon Bollig, and Linden Vey, so any warm body is necessary.
As it stands, the Flames currently have seven goalies, 14 defencemen, and 37 forwards at camp, assuming all of the Penticton tryouts stay for a while.
