Gawdin quietly picked up three points in Stockton’s home opener, tying with Brandon Davidson for most points during the outing, but didn’t pick up a star at the end like the defenceman. He’s currently tied for the Heat’s scoring lead.

The surprise prospect of the week is Kirkland, who is currently tied for the Stockton lead in scoring (with Zac Rinaldo) despite being listed on the fourth line. The actual Flames kids didn’t do much scoring this week, so prepare for some more weirdness like this.

After a pretty strong start to the season, Koumontzis couldn’t manage to repeat his performance this past weekend against Minnesota State. To be fair, no one did, as the Sun Devils were outscored a combined 9-1 in the two game series.

Another strong week for Lindstrom, who is just one point shy of his SHL career high. It’s a low bar considering the struggles he’s faced thus far in his career, but Lindstrom has looked like a much improved prospect, one with a serious chance at a North American job next year.
