Fischer seems to be settling in nicely with Spokane, even adding a goal in his revenge game against the Medicine Hat Tigers (although Spokane lost 7-4). He also still likes fighting, fyi.

Foo is more of a monster than his stat line shows. Twice this season, he’s had five shot games and is currently Stockton’s leader in that category, currently making up just under 10% of the team’s total.

Harvard finally began their hockey season, and Fox looks like he hasn’t missed a beat. He contributed two assists to Harvard’s 5-0 win against Dartmouth.

He’s also received a nod for Sweden’s U20 exhibition squad, a good sign for the WJC.

Lomberg was pretty quiet this week, again. He seems to be struggling to start the season, especially since he’s been moved to center. I’d like to see if he gets shifted back soon.

You probably wouldn’t have guessed that Mark Jankowski left last week given Mangiapane’s statline. The AHL scoring leader kept up his furious over PPG pace and is making a case for himself as Stockton’s best player. Mangiapane just does not stop. He’s still only 21, for the record.

Mattson is starting to make up for lost time, having gone a point per game this week after only scoring once in the seven games previous. He’s still a long way from the pros, so accept it for what it is.

Phillips is starting to slow down from his furious 2.67 PPG pace to a mere 2.0 PPG pace. He’s starting to get more points at 5v5, and more primary points too, which should ease some doubts about his lopsided totals early on in the year.
