With only a few prospects headed to/in the playoffs and all of the regular seasons over, we bid adieu to the weekly prospect updates. There’s also something more important happening, so let’s focus on that more. It’s a bit more fun.

In case you missed it:

Dillon Dube – F, Stockton Heat, AHL – X

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe

Change from last week
Was sent down for the Heat’s final game, and then recalled without having played in that game? Not sure why, but I hope Dillon enjoyed the flights.

Zach Fischer – RW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
ECHL40691512978.61
AHL201111119.93
Fischer got two games in at the AHL level to close out his year and even picked up an assist in his first AHL game. His re-signing odds are very doubtful, but this is a nice end to a tumultuous season for Fischer.

Spencer Foo – RW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date6717213823291622.6
Change from last week3101010-0.43
An empty net goal caps off a disappointing season for Foo. Probably not going to be re-signed.

Glenn Gawdin – C/RW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date6411273816271123.66
Change from last week3022211+0.14
Picked up two assists in the final week of Heat hockey. All in all, a pretty strong rookie season for Gawdin.

Josh Healey – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date55110119447.97
Change from last week3022200+1.07
Two assists for Healey this week, his largest offensive output this season. Also not a likely candidate for re-signing, but with the Flames prospect defensive depth being what it is, who really knows.

D’Artagnan Joly – RW/C, Rimouski Oceanic

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1
Playoffs9224332
Rimouski continues to run through the QMJHL playoffs. They’ve pushed aside Cape Breton and Chicoutimi in just nine games, and will face off against the recent powerhouse Rouyn-Noranda in the third round. Joly only picked up a goal against Cape Breton; hopefully he can do more against the Huskies.

Pavel Karnaukhov – LW/C, CSKA Moscow, KHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1
Playoffs10202222
CSKA has advanced to the Gagarin Cup final, and are currently up 2-0 on former friend of the blog Bob Hartley and Avangard Omsk. Karnaukhov has mostly been a healthy scratch throughout the playoffs, but has picked up two goals.

Ryan Lomberg – LW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date5812152718221218.55
Change from last week3022121+0.44
The season ends on a high note for Lomberg, who picked up two assists to end it. He probably doesn’t have much of an NHL career ahead of him, but gut feeling tells me he gets re-signed, mostly because of how helpful he’s been down below.

Adam Ollas Mattsson – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date6561218129611.04
Change from last week3000000-0.53
AOM’s season ended without any scoring. I think he’s the most likely candidate out of the RFA/UFA defencemen to get a contract, but it probably doesn’t mean he’s close to the NHL.

Andrew Nielsen – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date370774327.54
Change from last week3000000-0.66
Just three games played for Nielsen this week. He’s signed for another season, but given how his time in Stockton went, I don’t expect him to be around the Flames organization for long.

Mathias Emilio Pettersen – C/LW, Denver Pioneers, NCAA (NCHC)

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date406243018191127
Change from last week
Missed the final game of the season with a nasty injury sustained in the NCAA regional final. Denver lost 4-3 to UMass.

Matthew Phillips – RW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date6513253827312423.3
Change from last week3033322+0.8
A pretty solid end to Phillips’ season. He’s quietly been putting together a promising year. If you like what you’ve seen from Mangiapane so far, Phillips is likely headed down that road.

Brett Pollock – LW/C, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date5339128859.02
Change from last week3000000-0.54
Didn’t really do much.

Martin Pospisil – C/LW, Sioux City Musketeers, USHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date4416476331452132.87
Change from last week1011100-0.24
Just one assist for Pospisil in his season finale. The Musketeers will face Sioux Falls in the first round of their playoff series.

Milos Roman – C, Vancouver Giants, WHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1
Playoffs10235151
Vancouver swept Victoria and heads to the semifinals against Spokane. Roman helped finish the job against the Royals, picking up a goal and an assist in the final two games of the series.

Adam Ruzicka – C/LW, Sudbury Wolves, OHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1
Playoffs83710653
Ruzicka is the first Flames CHL prospect out after getting swept by the Ottawa 67s in the second round of the OHL playoffs. He picked up two goals and an assist in a valiant effort to right the ship, but Sudbury still fell.

Eetu Tuulola – RW, HPK, SM-Liiga

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1
Playoffs11325241
Tuulola could potentially finish the season a champion, as HPK has advanced to the Liiga finals against Karpat. Tuulola picked up two goals in the series against Tappara.

Rinat Valiev – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date57417211215914.68
Change from last week3100111-1.11
Didn’t hit the scoresheet, but Valiev wore the A in the final game of the season. Probably doesn’t mean much, but the team thinks highly of Valiev as an AHL defenceman.

Dmitri Zavgorodniy – C/LW, Rimouski Oceanic, QMJHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1
Playoffs9448653
Two assists for Zavgorodniy this week. He’s been a steady playoff contributor so far for Rimouski, but hopefully he can show that next level we saw earlier in the season.

Jon Gillies – G, Stockton Heat – X

In Calgary for insurance purposes. I don’t expect him to play unless there’s a disaster, but good for him for getting the call-up.

Mason McDonald – G, Kansas City Mavericks

GPTOISV%
Playoffs21280.920
KC is currently 1-1 in their series against Tulsa. McDonald has been the goalie for both games, stopping 39/43 (0.907 SV%) in Game 1 and 42/45 (0.933 SV%) in Game 2.

Tyler Parsons – G, Stockton Heat

GPTOISV%
Up to date208470.898
Change from last week3179-0.001
Although he got shellacked for seven goals against Ontario (23/30, 0.767 SV%), he rebounded nicely with a 51/53 (0.962%) and a 38/41 (0.927%) to finish off the season.

Nick Schneider – G, Stockton Heat

Called up to Stockton to back up Parsons, but didn’t end up playing.
I wouldn’t put that much value in Schneider getting the recall to Stockton ahead of McDonald. The Mavericks needed McDonald for the playoffs, so they really weren’t going to let him maybe get a game in at the expense of KC’s playoff run.
