Game 61 – Flames vs Coyotes Live Chat

While the Flames chief playoff rivals chase Jeff Carter this evening, Calgary will have to settle for trying to extract some points from the surging Coyotes. Phoenix added an ex-Blue Jacket of their own in Antoine Vermette recently and he’ll probably feature in their top-6 tonight.
The Flames will also add a top-6 forward, albeit via the infirmary rather than the trade route. Glencross will slide back into the line-up and will be a welcome addition, given the fact the team has been running with Tom Kosotpolous in a scoring role recently.
Glencross was the Flames leading goal scorer when he went down with a knee injury, but I’m not sure we should expect him to pick up where he left off. After all, his 18 goals were had off the abck off a personal career high 24% SH%. That’s amongst the league leaders this season and well clear of even the most accurate shooters in the NHL. Meaning: he’s not going to do this forever, but let’s hope it continues for a bit longer.
