The Calgary Flames will be looking for their third win in four home meetings with Winnipeg this season when they close out a three-game series against the Jets on Monday as -120 home favourites on the NHL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
Calgary leveraged a fast start to claim a 4-2 victory over Winnipeg on Saturday, which also marked the team’s first win in five outings going into Monday night’s matchup at Scotiabank Saddledome.

With their playoff hopes hanging in the balance, the Flames came up with a big effort in Saturday’s victory. In addition to snapping a season-high four-game losing streak, Calgary managed to close the gap on the Montreal Canadiens for the fourth and final playoff spot in the North Division. The team now sits just two points back of the Canadiens. However, with Montreal now holding five games in hand on them, the Flames have plenty of work ahead of them in their bid to reclaim control of their playoff destiny.
The Flames extended their recent stretch of steady defensive play in Saturday’s win. Calgary has surrendered just 2.40 goals per game over its past five outings, but the Flames’ attack has continued to fizzle. The team scored just four total goals during its recent four-game slide, and has averaged just three goals per game over its past seven home dates.
With the total getting set at just 5.5 in three of those contests at online betting sites, a trend that continues on Monday night, the Flames have produced mixed results with the OVER/UNDER going 3-3-1 in their past seven home contests. However, Calgary has tallied far more consistent results when battling the Jets on home ice, posting wins in eight of 10 regular-season clashes since the end of the 2013/2014 season, and giving up just 2.10 goals per game during that stretch.
While the Flames try to claw their way back into playoff contention, the Jets close out a seven-game road trip on Monday night as +100 underdogs. Winnipeg had managed to pull even with the North Division-leading Toronto Maple Leafs while winning three in a row prior to Saturday’s defeat, and remains just two points back of Toronto going into Monday’s series finale.
The recent strong play of goaltender Connor Hellebuyck has been key to Winnipeg’s climb into contention. The reigning Vezina Trophy winner surrendered just three total goals while backstopping the team to each of its recent victories, and is expected to return to action on Monday after enjoying the night off on Saturday. However, the Jets offense has remained streaky, scoring two or fewer goals in three of their past six outings, and have seen the OVER pay out just once during that stretch.
