Young goaltenders reign supreme: a Calgary Flames prospect update

By Ryan Pike
26 days agoThings haven’t been ideal for the Calgary Flames in terms of National Hockey League performance. But if there’s one thing they can take some solace in – organization-wide – it’s their goaltending.
In the NHL, the big club has seen Jacob Markstrom put up some strong performances and do his level best to keep his team in games. In the AHL, young Dustin Wolf allowed just one goal and made 28 saves in a 2-1 win on Saturday in the Wranglers’ home-opener against the Colorado Eagles. In college, UConn’s Arsenii Sergeev allowed just one goal and made 28 saves in a 2-1 win over UMass Lowell. In Russian junior, Yegor Yegorov made 25 saves for MHK Dynamo Moskva in a 1-0 overtime win over MHK Spartak.
Let’s dive into our weekly prospect snapshot!
