The National Hockey League has a busy night, with 11 games featuring 22 of the league’s 32 teams in action. Some of the league’s best teams go head-to-head – hey there, Carolina vs. Vegas, Toronto vs. the Rangers and Vancouver vs. Nashville – and there are also games where it could get pretty ugly.

A $1 bet pays out $3.30 – Vegas’ top netminder, Adin Hill, is out with an injury. Carolina’s top netminder, Freddie Andersen, is on the shelf. Vegas and Carolina are both strong offensive teams, but their defensive games aren’t spectacular, and they’re playing in front of goaltenders that are less than their ideal starters. This could become a bit of a track meet. (For the more risk-averse, they’re offering over 6.5 total goals at +105.)

A $1 bet pays out $2.62 – Every time I write this column, I hammer the Connor Bedard anytime goalscorer prop. The kid is playing on a team that often gets their show run by their opposition, but he’s already one of the most consistent goal-scorers in the entire NHL.

A $1 bet pays out $2.75 – The Edmonton/Islanders clash could be a ton of fun, a bit of a nostalgia trip pitting two ’80s rivals head-to-head. And within that game, there are a bunch of strong goal-scorers. There’s decent enough value for Connor McDavid (+110), Leon Draisaitl (+125) and Bo Horvat (+175), but I’m leaning slightly towards Barzal in this one.
