The Flames are coming off a dramatic overtime victory against the New York Rangers on Saturday, while the Flyers are just removed from being pummelled by Vancouver and are in the midst of a losing streak. It’s been a rough year for the Flyers, while the Flames still have hope for the post-season.
The Flyers are 1-4-1 since the start of February, while the Flames are 2-2-2.
Primary Bet – Flames to win (Moneyline) – (-250)
A $1 bet would pay out $1.40. The Flyers are on a losing skid, while the Flames seem to be rounding into form somewhat. The Flyers are a sizable underdog (+200), but the odds really favour the home side in this one, so it doesn’t pay out a ton.
Secondary Bet – Dillon Dube anytime goalscorer – (+200)
A $1 bet pays out $3. Dube somehow didn’t score against the Rangers – perhaps due to Elias Lindholm being absent due to the birth of his son – but the top line is back together, so Dube may be due. If you think Lindholm’s Big Dad Energy may give him goal-scoring prowess, he’s unfortunately not listed as a better option at time of this writing. (Dube’s -110 for anytime points, though, and he’d probably assist on any Lindholm Dad Goal.)
Tertiary Bet – Jonathan Huberdeau 1+ points – (-163)
A $1 pays out $1.61. Huberdeau was awesome against the Rangers, registering two points – including setting up Mikael Backlund’s overtime tip-in for the game-winner. Until Huberdeau cools down, try to ride this wave of offence a bit.
