During the final National Hockey League season at the Scotiabank Saddledome, Calgary Flames fans will be treated to some new threads, some classic threads, and some retro threads.

The Flames announced their 2026-27 jersey schedule during the first period of Tuesday night’s pre-season clash with the Vancouver Canucks, and the schedule includes the return of the beloved 2004 home jersey – featuring drawstrings on the front, the flaming horse (Blasty) logo on the shoulder, and a black Flaming C crest – and the first official announcement of a yet-to-be-revealed Hometown Remix jersey.

Appropriately enough, the Flames will wear their 2004 retro jersey in home games against their four 2004 opponents. They wore those jerseys from 2003-07, at which point the league switched to the Reebok Edge jersey template and the simple, classic red jersey had a bunch of stripes and piping added for some reason.

The alternate jerseys will both be done by mid-January, and the Flames will rock their classic 1980s retro red jerseys in each of the last 17 home games at the Saddledome. The Hometown Remix sweaters have not been revealed yet – it’ll likely be a league-wide reveal around the time the regular season begins – but they’re rumoured to feature a yellow C and a Saddledome tribute them.
