The Calgary Flames are scheduled to wear their new “Hometown Remix” jerseys for the first time on Nov. 6, and we now have a few more hints about what they might look like.
As part of a coordinated, league-wide effort, the Flames posted a teaser image of what appears to be the hemline of the new jersey to their social media channels on Wednesday. The Flames have historically worn jerseys featuring some combination of red, yellow, white, and black, but Wednesday’s teaser depicts fabric of a different colour: gold.
Hometown Remix is a new line of specialty jerseys introduced by Fanatics and the NHL for all 32 teams to wear during the 2026-27 season. They look to be similar in nature to the Reverse Retro jerseys introduced by Adidas, the league’s former uniform partner, during the 2020-21 and 2022-23 seasons.
The Flames’ Hometown Remix jerseys are widely expected to commemorate the final year at the Scotiabank Saddledome in some way, and the text displayed atop the jersey in the teaser — reading “one last ride,” written out vertically — appears to confirm that. If you look closely at the teaser image, you might even see some subtle striping that seems to resemble the iconic curved rim and supports of the Saddledome roof.
During Wednesday’s practice at the Saddledome, the Flames donned the equipment that will likely accompany the new jerseys. In a photo the Flames posted to their Twitter account, defenceman Jake Middleton can be seen wearing red gloves with the Warrior logo spelled out in gold; additionally, Middleton’s red pants have a sparkly gold stripe running down the sides. (We expect the new uniform will feature a red base and lots of gold accents.)
But the biggest indication that the Flames’ Hometown Remix jerseys will contain a healthy dose of sparkly gold fabric is undoubtedly the equipment worn by goaltenders Dustin Wolf and Devin Cooley on Wednesday. The two netminders both broke in new gear coloured in gold and red, with Wolf also debuting a new mask featuring a golden Flaming C and the club’s special “‘Dome Farewell Season” logo.
The Flames are adding two new uniforms to their rotation this season. On Saturday, the club will revive their 2004-era red home jerseys for the first of four games this season, replacing the popular Blasty throwbacks as their alternate look. Additionally, the Flames will wear their Hometown Remix jerseys nine times in the 2026-27 season.
Of course, the Flames’ iconic home and away jerseys aren’t going anywhere, and they’ll be decked out in their red, yellow, and white threads on Thursday when they return to action at the Saddledome to take on the Minnesota Wild.
