A quieter week for the Flames first round pick, who struggled in his first two games this weekend. He rebounded in the final game of a back-to-back-to-back, picking up two assists on two goals and being named the first star of the game. His longest scoring drought last year lasted all of two games, so this could be the only bad part of his season.

We saved the best for last (well, the alphabet did). Spared from an ECHL demotion due to injury, Zagidulin made a pretty solid case to show that he belongs in the AHL starter conversation. He stopped 28 of 30 (0.933 SV%) in his debut and followed it up with 32 of 34 (0.941SV%) in his next game. He’ll probably tell Gillies and Parsons to take it easy.
