<p>Calgary Wranglers forward Matthew Phillips has been named the American Hockey League&#8217;s player of the month for November.</p>

<p>The 5&#8217;8&#8243;, 160-pound winger recorded nine goals and 18 points in 12 games to help the Wranglers post a 9–2–1 record. Phillips was <a href="https://flamesnation.ca/news/matthew-phillips-calgary-wranglers-calgary-flames-ahl">previously</a> recognized as the league&#8217;s player of the week for November 21 to 27.</p>
<p>Through 18 games with the Wranglers this season, Phillips leads the entire league in both goals (13) and points (26). The Flames originally selected the Calgary-born forward in the sixth round (No. 166 overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft.</p>

His goal in a 4-0 win over the Barracuda two nights later ran his scoring streak to eight games, and he finished the month with a six-game streak, beginning with two assists in a 5-1 win at Bakersfield on Nov. 18.
