While the usual tenants of the palatial Scotiabank Saddledome are elsewhere, the Professional Women’s Hockey League will kick off hockey action for the month of April with the latest edition of the PWHL Takeover Tour. A packed house at the ‘Dome will see the Ottawa Charge (6-7-1-9, 33 points) face the Toronto Sceptres (8-1-5-10, 31 points) in a game with a potentially big impact on the PWHL’s playoff picture.
Today’s game begins at 7:30 p.m. MT on TSN5, but tickets are still available to take the game in live at the ‘Dome.

The Charge

Lines from Sunday’s game:

Jocelyn Larocque [#3] – Kate Reilly [#8]
Emma Greco [#25] – Steph Markowski [#6]
Vita Poniatovskaia [#9]
Gwynweth Phillips [#33]
Kendra Woodland [#70]
Gwyneth Phillips (12-8-1, 2.35 GAA, .924 SV%) made 25 saves on Sunday as the Charge shut out the Seattle Torrent by a 2-0 score.
The Charge have a formidable one-two offensive attack at the top of their lineup in the form of Calgary Inferno alums Rebecca Leslie and Brianne Jenner, tied with 19 points apiece at the top of the team’s leaderboard. But don’t forget about rookie Sarah Wozniewicz, a product of Cochrane, who has four game-winners among her five goals scored this season.
The Charge have seven 2026 Olympians on their projected roster: Larocque (Canada), Clark (Canada), Jenner (Canada), Phillips (USA), Guiliday (USA), Savolainen (Finland) and Mrazova (Czechia).

The Sceptres

Lines from Sunday’s game:
Daryl Watts [#19] – Blayre Turnbull [#40] – Claire Dalton [#42]
Maggie Connors [#22] – Emma Maltais [#27] – Jesse Compher [#18]
Emma Gentry [#20] – Sara Hjalmarsson [#19] – Natalie Spooner [#24]
Kiara Zanon [#11] – Kristin Della Rovere [#21] – Emma Woods [#67]
Ella Shelton [#17] – Renata Fast [#14]
Allie Munroe [#12] – Kali Flanagan [#6]
Savannah Harmon [#15] – Anna Kjellbin [#71]
Jessica Kondas [#2]
Elaine Chuli [#29]
Jessie McPherson [#91]
The Sceptres lost to the Vancouver Goldeneyes on Sunday by a 3-2 score. It was the second consecutive loss for the Sceptres and, coincidentally, their second straight game without usual starting netminder Raygan Kirk – Elaine Chuli (3-5-0, 2.89 GAA, .893 SV%) has been subbing in. Kirk reportedly did travel with the team to Calgary and took part in practice on Tuesday, but it’s not clear if she’ll be available for this game.
Blayre Turnbull scored twice for Toronto in the loss. She leads the Sceptres goal in goals, while linemate Daryl Watts leads the team in points this season.
The Sceptres have nine 2026 Olympians on their projected roster: Fast (Canada), Shelton (Canada), Turnbull (Canada), Spooner (Canada), Watts (Canada), Kjellbin (Sweden), Maltais (Canada), Della Rovere (Italy) and Hjalmarsson (Sweden).
