Scotia Place: a street-level look at construction progress from late June 2026

Friends, June has concluded and we’re now into July.
But before the curtain was drawn on June, and thankfully before it started raining this past Saturday, we did our regular wandering around the Scotia Place construction to marvel and how things are progressing.
By now you know the drill: we have four regular spots we take a gander from, and we show you how it looks now, how it looked a few weeks back, and how it’s expected to look when it’s done!
Let’s roll.

We know that every update says “Hey look, it’s looking closer to the final product!” But.. hey look, it’s looking closer to the final product. We’re seeing more progress on the area beyond the main arena structure – you’ll notice the three-level structure for the bar on the left is enclosed with the green building envelope panelling, and we’re seeing more of the funky angular steel cladding supports being installed both on the left side (the bars and restaurant structure) and on the main entrance to the building itself.
Here’s how it’s supposed to look from the renders:

Similar to the southwest corner view, we’re seeing more of the angular steel cladding supports being installed on this side, particularly for the exterior shape of the team store’s main entrance.
There was also some exterior work done at the ground level during the past few weeks, but due to the fencing we’re not entirely sure the extent of it.

Around on this side of the building, you’ll start to notice a lot of changes. Behold, a lot of the green exterior building envelope panels have been installed. The entire north side of the bowl structure has almost been enclosed. On one hand: hooray! On the other hand, it makes it a bit harder to eye-ball the progression of the roof structure’s installation.
In front, on the left, they’re starting to make progress on the parkade’s concrete structure. Our thought is that’ll progress pretty quickly once the bowl’s steel structure and exterior are a bit further along.
Also, check out this cool look we got from the east side of the building, featuring some supports that are starting to be installed for the second half of the roof…

We’ll keep an eye out for additional roof structural elements to start appearing in the next little bit.
Southeast corner

In front: hey look, they re-did 14th Avenue! The steel structure of the community arena’s entrance has continued to move along, and all of the steel decking on the various levels of the bowl’s steel structure look to be in place. And the decking on the community rink structure. The community rink still lacks a roof (which will also be the ground level for the exterior plaza), but we’re thinking they’re probably going to work on that while they work on the parkade – doing the concrete work all together kind of makes sense to us, but we are not construction experts.
Here’s how things will look when they’re done:

We’ll see how things look later on as we progress into late June (and the Stampede).
