The Flames pick Eetu Tuulola at #156

Jun 25, 2016, 12:41 EDTUpdated:
With their first and own pick in the sixth round, the Flames have selected Eetu Tuulola, a right winger from HPK of the Finnish Liiga. Their second foray into the European prospect pool, Tuulola is a massive 6’3″, 227 lbs and probably has the hardest name to spell out of all draftees.
Scouts describe him as a prototypical power forward. He’s big, unafraid of corner battles and driving the net, works hard, and doesn’t stop battling. He needs to work on skating (speed and technique) and defensive game.
His rankings placed him in the third or fourth round, but the Flames got
him in the sixth. He has decent numbers for a junior league, and is
certainly a while from the NHL. He already has the NHL size, it’s just a matter of putting it all together.
