<p>@Tyler Toffoli scored his fifth goal as a member of the Calgary Flames — and his first on the road — early in the third period of Tuesday&#8217;s 5–1 win over the Minnesota Wild.</p>

<p>The Flames entered the final 20 minutes of play at Xcel Energy Center up 3–1 over the Wild. With 1:03 still remaining on a tripping minor penalty Wild forward Matt Boldy took late in the second period, Calgary had an early opportunity to potentially put the game out of reach.</p>
<p>The newest (and arguably hottest) Flame struck just 33 seconds into the third period. After the Flames&#8217; top power-play unit set itself up in the attacking zone, @Johnny Gaudreau managed to find Toffoli wide-open in front of @Cam Talbot&#8217;s net.</p>
<p>With no Minnesota defenders even remotely close to him, Toffoli deftly redirected Gaudreau&#8217;s feed past Talbot&#8217;s left pad and into the bottom corner of the Wild net. @Rasmus Andersson also picked up an assist on Toffoli&#8217;s 14th goal of the season.</p>

The 29-year-old forward now has 33 points in 44 games during the 2021–22 season, including seven points in his first seven games with the Flames.</p>
<p>Tkachuk, Toffoli, @Andrew Mangiapane, @Elias Lindholm, and @Mikael Backlund scored in Calgary&#8217;s 5–1 win over the Wild on Tuesday. @Jacob Markstrom made 32 saves to secure his 25th win of the season; at the other end, former Flame @Cam Talbot allowed four goals on 26 shots.</p>
<p>The Flames will return to action on Mar. 3 when they welcome Toffoli&#8217;s former team, the Montreal Canadiens, to the Scotiabank Saddledome.</p>
