Stockton Heat defenceman @Juuso Valimaki made an early exit from Sunday’s game against the Ontario Reign after suffering a lower-body injury.
The Heat announced Valimaki’s injury before the start of the third period. The 23-year-old defenceman took part in the first two periods before being ruled out for the final 20 minutes.
Valimaki has been riddled with injuries throughout his professional career. He missed most of the 2018–19 season with a high-ankle sprain before sitting out the entire 2019–20 campaign with a torn ACL.
There has not yet been any word about the severity of Valimaki’s latest injury. In 10 AHL games with Stockton this season, Valimaki has six assists.
