Micheal Ferland Leaves Tonight’s Game With Injury

The Calgary Flames have gradually gotten healthier of late, with Joe Colborne and Ladislav Smid returning from time on the injured reserve in the past couple of games. Unfortunately, it seems like they may have another player replacing them on the shelf.
Micheal Ferland left tonight’s game with the Detroit Red Wings early in the second period with a lower-body injury.
Ferland went for a hit on Tomas Tatar at 1:39 of second, during a Flames penalty kill. He immediately got up after the hit favouring one of his legs and went immediately to the bench and down the tunnel, hobbling as he exited the bench area.
Following the second period, the Flames announced that Ferland would not return to tonight’s game with a lower-body injury.
