With Mikael Backlund and Michael Frolik injured and Ryan Lomberg suspended, the Flames have found themselves shorthanded for the busy weekend ahead. This morning, they’ve recalled centre Alan Quine from the Stockton Heat.

Quine as the recall comes as no surprise. He’s currently leading the Heat in per-game scoring with 19 points in 15 games, an anchor on the top line. Quine was scratched for Friday night’s Heat game, which was a pretty good indication that he would be the forward coming up. He will likely play the 4C role, as everyone else gets bumped up to fill in for Backlund’s absence.
Quine became a Flame on July 1 of this past year, signing a one-year, two-way deal with the club.
