Flames prospect update: little guy puts up big numbers

The Stockton Heat were the story of the past week as far as prospects go. It was a wild week, as an AHL defender put up a hat trick in a crazy hockey game on Saturday while another player had five points in another big offensive game on Monday afternoon.

The Pioneers had a rough weekend by their standards, grinding out a tie and suffering their first loss of the season in a pair of games with Minnesota-Duluth – they’re 8-1-1 on the season. Pettersen potted an assist, mostly keeping up his scoring pace.
