Sometimes you ride the bull, sometimes you just hang on for dear life. For many different reasons, a lot of Calgary Flames prospects hit some adversity this past week. Some dealt with injuries. Some just dealt with some rough games.
Let’s check in on the youngsters.

This and that

  • G Tyler Parsons remains on the Flames’ season-opening injury reserve.
  • He’s not technically a prospect anymore, but D Juuso Valimaki has seven points in 12 AHL games for Stockton.
  • F Adam Ruzicka is on the Flames’ main roster. We won’t include him in this update until he returns. (If he ever does…)
  • F Emil Heineman had his rights traded to the Montreal Canadiens in the Tyler Toffoli trade.
  • The Memorial Cup, hosted by Saint John, has been bumped back a month to the end of June.
