Flames sign Brad Richardson (one year, $800k AAV)

The Calgary Flames have signed 36-year-old forward Brad Richardson to a one-year contract worth $800,000, the club announced Wednesday afternoon.
Richardson is capable of playing all three forward positions. He spent the 2020–21 season with the Nashville Predators, scoring one goal and four points in 17 games.
He played the preceding five seasons with the Arizona Coyotes, topping out at 19 goals and 27 points in 66 games with the club in 2018–19.
Richardson has amassed 107 goals and 246 points in 825 career games with the Predators, Coyotes, Vancouver Canucks, Los Angeles Kings, and Colorado Avalanche. He won the Stanley Cup in 2012 while playing for Darryl Sutter’s Kings.
