Only in the good way, of course! The Flames saw all of their CHL prospects end their regular seasons this past weekend with Glenn Gawdin, Nick Schneider, and Zach Fischer having fully graduated from the league. Juuso Valimaki, Dillon Dube, and Matthew Phillips have also all likely played their last regular season CHL games. Bittersweet.

In case you missed it

Rasmus Andersson – D, Stockton Heat, AHL – X

Just a powerplay assist this week. In Calgary for the time being. How long? Well let’s see.

Austin Carroll – RW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current345277667.93
Change from last week3000000-0.77
No points for Carroll this week.

Dillon Dube – C/LW, Kelowna Rockets, WHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current5338468448653937.69
Change from last week2437666+1.79
Dube finished his season in style, scoring 12 points in his last five games, good enough for a 114 points over a full 72 games. Once again, he finished just ahead of Matthew Phillips in points-per-game for the season. He also won the last WHL player of the week award. He’s stupid good.
He will also play Valimaki and the Tri-City Americans in the first round of the WHL playoffs. The earliest we can see him or Valimaki in Stockton is March 25, and the latest is April 3.

Zach Fischer – RW, Spokane Chiefs, WHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe

Still injured with a UBI. No timetable for a return. Probably never returning.

Spencer Foo – RW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current5619163516291224.09
Change from last week3101110-0.63
Two goals for Foo this week. With Mangiapane out, he’s likely going to pick up the offensive burden for the Heat. He’s been hot as of late, so maybe he can carry the team into the playoffs.

Adam Fox – D, Harvard Crimson, ECAC

Will he sign? Will he go back to college? Let’s see.

Glenn Gawdin – C/RW, Swift Current Broncos, WHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current67566912563954844.37
Change from last week1011000-0.51
Gawdin had the flu all week, but returned to pick up a powerplay assist to finish with 125 points on the year. The Broncos will play the Memorial Cup hosting Regina Pats. Should the Broncos flame out, he can join the Heat as early as March 28 or April 2.

Josh Healey – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current400332212.89
Change from last week1000000-0.07
Played a game of hockey.

D’Artagnan Joly – RW, Baie-Comeau Drakkar, QMJHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current5523456840563525.35
Change from last week3022222-0.67
Joly picked up two assists in the final stretch of the season. Because 16 of the 18 QMJHL teams make the playoffs, and also because the Drakkar aren’t that good (13th in the league, eight games below .500), they will likely get smoked by the Halifax Mooseheads. Joly does not have an ELC yet, but he can play in Stockton on an ATO. The earliest that can happen is the March 28, and the latest will be April 3.

Morgan Klimchuk – LW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current5518183622291925.23
Change from last week3000000-1.45
A rare quiet week for Klimchuk.

Oliver Kylington – D, Stockton Heat

Current524263020201422.23
Change from last week3101010-0.58
One goal, and one heck of a celebration for Kylington:

Linus Lindstrom – C/LW, Skelleftea AIK, SHL

Skelleftea’s playoffs are off to a start, but Lindstrom has yet to hit the scoresheet with just one game played.

Ryan Lomberg – LW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe

Nothing doing for Lomberg this week.

Andrew Mangiapane – LW/C, Stockton Heat

Ditto.

Matthew Phillips – C/RW, Victoria Royals, WHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current71486411249833737.51
Change from last week2101010-0.74
Another stellar season for Phillips. The Royals will have a Ferry Series with the Vancouver Giants in the playoffs, which will be very close. Again, the earliest he can join Stockton is March 29, and the latest is April 3.

Emile Poirier – LW/RW, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current564172113181114.45
Change from last week3000000-0.82
No points for Poirier again. Not really working out as a third liner in the AHL.

Brett Pollock – LW/C, Stockton Heat, AHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current357613811714.31
Change from last week3011010-0.14
Another point for Pollock this week. Shaping up to be an alright contributor. Maybe he has a Klimchuk-esque breakout next season? Who knows.

Daniel Pribyl – RW/C, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current00000000
Still injured.

Adam Ruzicka – C/LW, Sarnia Sting, OHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date6336367238613328.11
Change from last week2101111-0.52
Just a goal this week for Ruzicka. Sarnia will play Windsor in the first round. Like other prospects, Ruzicka (also not on an ELC) can join Stockton for March 29 at the earliest or April 3 at the latest.

Hunter Shinkaruk – F, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Up to date5516122817241619.62

One goal this week for Shinkaruk.

Hunter Smith – RW, Kansas City Mavericks, ECHL

Smith is recovering from an upper body injury. He hasn’t played since Jan. 6.

Filip Sveningsson – LW, HV71, Superelit/SHL

Sveningsson has two goals and an assist in two games of the Superelit playoffs.

Eetu Tuulola – RW, HPK, SM-Liiga

Tuulola has a goal in four games for HPK’s U20 team’s playoffs.

Juuso Valimaki – D, Tri-City Americans, WHL

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current4314314526312024.89
Change from last week4167353+1.72
Valimaki finished his season with 12 points in eight games. That’s pretty darn good for a guy who struggled (injury-related) to score all season long.

Tyler Wotherspoon – D, Stockton Heat

GPGAP5v5 PP15v5 P1NHLe
Current567273417181023.4

Wotherspoon missed his first game all season for an undisclosed reason.

Jon Gillies – G, Stockton Heat

Gillies is back in the Stockton starter net after a long absence. He posted a .910 across all three games back, a stretch which included games where he stopped 24/26 (0.923), 27/30 (0.900), and a 20/22 (0.909).

Mason McDonald – G, Kansas City Mavericks/Stockton Heat

Nick Schneider – G, Calgary Hitmen, WHL/Stockton Heat AHL

GPTOISV%SA
Current5930090.8851803

Schneider finished his season as the most played goalie in the WHL, finishing first in minutes and tied for first in games played. He’ll have a reduced workload in Stockton, where he’ll be backing up Gillies (until McDonald comes back, presumably).
